Re: Livingston-McDougall Connection

I have already PMed him (at least I hope I have as I'm not very good at this) and look forward to receiving a reply as this is potentially an exciting connection. If we come down on the same line, we are possibly second cousins xtimes removed. We shall see.

Re: Livingston-McDougall Connection

Hello Colin, Welcome to the Clan MacLea/Livingstone Forum. It seems that we are very distant cousins. Archibald Livingston and Mary McDougall are my 3times great grandparents. Unfortunately I do not have any information about as to who their parents were or where they came from. They first appear at...

Re: Culloden Development

I don't think that there are any merits regarding this development. Culloden battlefield is a very special place, and a housing development in its vicinity is totally out of keeping with the area. The Highland Council and the National Trust for Scotland oppose this, and I am shocked that the Scottis...

Re: Just found you- from PEI Livingstone's- do I belong here

Hi, Welcome to our clan website. I have been most interested to read your family history. I am not qualified to help you with your Canadian family, but there are others who certainly are and you may be hearing from our clan historian, Donald Livingstone Clink. However, your story about an ancestor t...

Re: Isle of Lismore Cemetery

Since posting the above I have found out that lismoremuseum@btconnect.com is their email address. The Lismore Historical Society also has a website: http://www.celm.org.uk. Hope you find this useful.

Re: Isle of Lismore Cemetery

Hi Suzanne and Donald, It is well worth trying Comann Eachdraidh Lios Mor (Lismore Historical Society), lismoremuseum@btconnect.com. I'm pretty certain someone there will know. Incidentally it is a most interesting small museum, and well worth a visit for anyone visiting the island. The museum boast...

Re: Dr Livingstone family article in The Scotsman

A most interesting article: until now, I for one have known very little about Dr Livingstone's descendants, and found the article most informative.

Thank you Kaye and Kyle for pointing me in The Scotsman's direction.

Re: Thank you to Jill Richmond!

A very big 'thank you' to you all for your very kind words. I have very much enjoyed my time as Secretary, and it has been an honour and a privilege to serve the Clan in this way; but it is time for a younger person to take my place. I am absolutely certain that Kaye will be a splendid Secretary, an...
