I haven't looked at the 1881 census yet. We need to find a James Livingston that was born in October of 1872 in order to narrow it down a bit.

Hi Barry, Saw the 1900 censs for Montana. The John Livingston and wife Kate you mentioned were also in the 1910 & 1920 Montana census. The 1910 census states he was born in November, 1875. I took a look at the Nova Scotia genealogy and they had a John Livingston born Nov. 23, 1875 in Whycocomagh...
