Hi All
I am still researching my ancestor Colin Livingstone and I see that Niel/Neil Livingston and Margaret MacColl had a son Colin born in Scotland in 1818. Just going down a rabbit hole and wondering if anyone has any information on this family?
Thanks
Barry

Hi All
I know how much time Donald has been investing in Livingstone geneology research lately and if anyone could have thought it possible, he has raised the bar once again. A big thank you to Donald

Re: Just found you- from PEI Livingstone's- do I belong here
So I'm just wondering if anyone has made any progress on this thread for the Livingstones in the Cardigan and Georgetown area? As everyone knows, Malcolm, the son of JOhn and Sarah was born in Townsend Maine in 1814. Here is a document that I just found where Malcolm is listed as a seaman on the shi...

New Very Close Match To My Family
Hi All I just wanted to let everyone know I have had an email with a very close match to my Family DNA. I would say this is my closest match so far. The only problem is their family name is not Livingston but is Warren. Would anyone like to comment on this. The close match is Mr. Milton Harry Warren...

Re: Just found you- from PEI Livingstone's- do I belong here
I have been speaking through email to someone in Cardigan who is very interested in this family and has compiled quite a library of information on the family. Lets see if we can get Beth and Mary talking. She has Cardigan connections and does local family research for the community of Cardigan. Barry

Re: Just found you- from PEI Livingstone's- do I belong here
You had asked how I know that John and Sarah were Joseph's grand parents. At our provincial archives, I have found that Malcolm was married to a Sarah Newport and I found they lost their daughter at the age of 2, living in Salem, Mass. and an article in a PEI newspaper lists this. It says he was fro...

Re: Just found you- from PEI Livingstone's- do I belong here
Hi There Thanks Donald for sending me the email about this inquiry :) Let me see if I can summarize this :) I am from PEI and my mother was a Livingstone. Her family lived about 15 minutes by car from where Joseph and Margaret lived. I have always been told the two families were not related, but I h...

Cape George/Mull River Connection
Hi All I'm wondering if anyone can enlighten me on why Dougald Livingstone's daughter Catherine, who was born in 1850 in Cape George was married in the Mull River Presbyterian Church? She married James Adams. She is also buried in the 1st Settlers church cemetery near Mabou, Cape Breton with the res...

Re: Nova Scotia/PEI Livingstone Research
Hi All So a little update on our adventure to Cape Breton. We took a ton of pictures and I will be sending pictures to Kyle to be included in the Fall newsletter. I think the biggest excitement in all of this is to actually see the present day communities where these families lived. Driving the road...

Re: Nova Scotia/PEI Livingstone Research
Hi All Some notes from Dr. St. Clair regarding the Livingstone's in the Mull River/Whycocomagh area. I thank Dr. St. Clair for the update and I hope to speak with him while I am there. - The last two local descendants of the Livingstones of Livingstone Mt, and Mull River, have died in the past 18 mo...
