Hello Alex, My ancestor was Sarah Livingstone, born in 1801 on Lagganmore Farm, Kilninver, Argyll. Her parents are shown in the parish records as Donald Livingstone and Mary McCulloch, very similar to your Mary's parents. I looked at earlier pages in the parish records and a lot of years were blank....

I have looked at a bunch of the Highland Regiment Order Books. Many are repeats or overlaps. There are many gaps. I found a few Livingstones. Earl of Breadalbane
I too have seen a reference to the Earl of Breadalbane being the landlord of my Livingstone ancestors at Lagganmore, Kilninver, Argyl in 1770. Looking at those records would be on my list if I ever got to Scotland.
