I went back to the huge YDNA database which is kept on this website, and there is a John Livingston b. 1603 (I think) in Edinburgh, Scotland, who died 8 August 1672 Rotterdam, Holland. It would be difficult to tie James Livingston/Catherina Kuhn to the German Liebenstein family without a YDNA test of a male descendent. Audrie, It may be that your Hugh Livingston was a son of Hugh Levingston who shows up in the 1820 census for Neshanock, Mercer Co, Pennsylvania, or maybe a son of William Levingston who is a few miles north in Lackawonnock, Mercer Co.
