Neil Livingston Argyl/Fort William

Still trying to research my paternal line and keep hitting brick walls. per the DNA testing, there might be an extremely close match with a John Livingston/e from 1773 in Fort William Scotland, I think. my guess either brothers or 1st cousins maybe, but not sure. I also cant go back any further. alt...

Bellingham Highland Games

Hello. This past weekend were the Bellingham Highland Games in Ferndale WA. Very nice weather for the Pacific NW with highs in the low to mid 80's (warm by our standards). Seemed a little disorganized at times when arriving and leaving but other than that was a very nice Games with music from Wicked...

Re: Introducing Myself

Hi John I'll look some more in Neil. he's been really hard to find any info on, unless someone in my line has the info passed onto them... I've tried on the Scotland peoples website and cant even find his notice of death in Scotland. I was able to find a copy of his marriage certificate I believe......

Re: Introducing Myself

HI Donald for some reason I cant find the 1891 census with either Jane or John listed. I did see the death certificate. that is very odd that someone would write originally "unknown" for both parents and then write over it the supposed parents names. I'm not sure about Jane/Jean being a Br...

Re: Introducing Myself

Hi Donald

I'll definitely look at my family tree and the censuses. its funny you asked, I was just looking at a prior discussion on Jean/jean just yesterday.

If I remember correctly there are 2 Jean/Jane(s) born around the same time, and they get mixed up occasionally

I had 3 others with the same 67-5 distance including Dr Keith James Livingstone, Lloyd V Livingston and John Lloyd Livingstone Esq. I have one t...

Southern California Games

Hi All Unfortunately I havent been able yet to attend any events or sponsor a clan event in Southern California. However this year instead of having a clan tent there, Clan MacLea (Livingstone) will be listed in the event program for both the San Diego Highland Games as well as the Costa Mesa Scotti...
