Re: Randomly Acquired Information

Donald, Both Angus & Margaret seem to disappear off the face of the earth after the 1841 census on Jura. The only further info I have found on either Angus or Margaret, is the 1841 census has her listed as "born in foreign parts", possibly Angus met her while overseas with the army, al...

Donald,
I just googled Wolemi pines, you can actually buy them in the UK or US. I'm looking at buying 2 or 3,

Re: Randomly Acquired Information

Not sure if this will be of any interest to anyone or not, John LIVINGSTONE, alias Gorm. This surname confined chiefly to Glenquaich; 1823, Donald, W. Shian; 1834, Donald, John, W. Shian. Colin Livingstone, the last parish schoolmaster of Fort William, belonged to this family. He was born at Balinre...

Re: Randomly Acquired Information

Donald, There are a few things that do not quite tie in as neatly as I would like, like Angus being a military pensioner at 28 years old, age discrepancies when they lived on Jura, and even more so, where did they go after Jura? I've got a good paper trail, that it is the correct Angus and Margaret,...

Re: Randomly Acquired Information

Some more info on Angus Livingstone b. abt.1775 at Sheaba, Kilvinichen & Kilvickeon, Mull, & Margaret Hall, their first child Mary was born Glasgow, 31.10.1802, Mary was baptised on the day of her birth, so there is a distinct possibility she was not expected to live too long. At this time A...

Re: Randomly Acquired Information

Donald, I supect we may have came across the worlds worst census taker, at least as far as Jura 1841 is concerned, or possibly, Angus and Margaret supplied inaccurate information to him. Alternatively, it could be an entirely different Angus and Margaret, there are so many discrepancies in the ages ...

Re: Randomly Acquired Information

Hi Donald, I am also part of the Parker-Livingstone project, see ID # 127272, I have no doubts about where we originated, my only doubt, was if I had the correct Angus and Margaret. Going on Johns birth info, I think Angus born 1775 is probably correct. I have also communicated recently with a lady ...

Re: Randomly Acquired Information

Roberta/Donald, The info posted below, has mainly been verified by Brian Thomson at http://www.scotsfamily, I am not 100% sure if this is the correct Angus/Margaret, although, it appears correct. From this info, Keith is descended from Gavin, born 1834, my side from John, born 1832, parents John Liv...

Re: Randomly Acquired Information

Roberta, I think that the Angus in the 1779 census for Sheabach,Mull, could be the same Angus who is included in the 1841 census for Jura, address Urigaig, Jura, where he is listed as an army pensioner, age around 60 + years. This is the last time I can find Angus on any UK site, or anywhere else fo...
