Re: Angus Livingstone& Margaret (Hall/McPhail), Shiaba, Mul

My guess would be a fancy old-fashioned s rather than an f too.

I've been following this thread a little bit--really great persistence leading to some breakthroughs here.

Excellent work--a great testament for family near and far.

Re: Angus Livingstone& Margaret (Hall/McPhail), Shiaba, Mul

John is a Life Member if I recall correctly. I find this discouraging too, sometimes. And I admit to not having done as much as possible to expand our recruiting, something that probably needs doing.

But thank you both so much for keeping up the 'fight'!

Re: Seasons greetings

John et al., I have had an unbelievably busy year and have been completely snowed under. I have not been able to log in and I am sad as well to not have wished my clansmen a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I truly wish all of you, my distant cousins and friends, a wonderful 2015 and I hope your ...

Re: Questions about Kilts

Congrats, David! I think it took 3 months for my kilt to come in before my wedding. It can vary of course. If I were you I would get the order in at least 6 months prior. And I would make sure they stock the tartan of your choice first. If they don't, additional lead time may be necessary to get it ...

Re: One of Sir John Franklin's lost ships located by Canadia

I heard about this story before the finding of the ship! That is wonderful. I hope they find some interesting artifacts or additional information from their study of the wreck. Persistence! Great news!

Re: Flags and Banners at Highland Games

Hi David, They are very expensive to have made in proper Scottish fashion, as I have thought about getting one for the Commissioner to bring with him to games he attends, but I can't afford it now. It might be possible to make one, but it would not be an easy task. There could also be lower cost alt...
