Re: Livingstone the village dates back to 12 th century

As Donald says above, our clan has never been a big "showy" clan like the Campbells, Stewarts, and others but we have been involved with quite a bit in the history of Scotland, both Lowland and Highland branches. On the Lowland side do a search on Callendar House which was a Livingston str...

Re: Livingstone the village dates back to 12 th century

Welcome to the Clan MacLea (Livingstone) Forum, glivingstone. I, too, am struggling with older details in my research. I have traced back to 1786 but don't have any information on where James David was born or who his parents were. All I have is information on his wedding in Western Pennsylvania. Hi...

Re: Livingston Dress Tartan Kilted Skirt

For those that are interested, please let me know as soon as possible. I will be ordering a kilted skirt for my wife in 10 days. If others do want to go with the Livingstone Dress tartan for their wives, we need to coordinate the order so that they only have to have one run made.

Thank you.

Livingston Dress Tartan Kilted Skirt

For her birthday, I let Joyce know that it was time to get her the kilted skirt (mid calf length with pleats in the back and right over left aprons in front) we've talked about for quite some time. My wife is looking at the Livingston Dress tartan. In order to do that, we would need to order 10 plus...

Donal, I wish I had the time and contact resources you have for this work. Once again, you have put together some great information and history for one of our members. Well done.

Re: Livingstones in Australia - DNA connection

John, Welcome to the forum. I am sure that you are beginning to see the value of the information that Donald has been able to pull together over the years. He continually amazes me with what he finds and how he is able to connect everything.

Re: Donald Livingstone

Bill, I have been out of pocket for the past week but agree with Donald on the DNA. I ran mine last November at 64 markers and was impressed with the results enough to upgrade to 111 which just went on to prove my relationship with Dr. David. I do encourage you to take the simple test which is a che...

Welcome to the forum. After approving your request to join, I thought you might be posting soon. I do believe this would fit better with the Ancestral Research section and will move it there.
