I just found out that my 3rd great grandfather James Livingston came from the Island of Mull. Is this is Highland area? Would this be considered clan territory? Is this castle a Highlander ancestral home? Bob, I have tidied up your three messages into one. If you look at http://www.clanmclea.co.uk/Abbot_Cuduilig.htm it gives some information. The Macleans settled in Morvern (part of our Abbey lands) as their ancestor Cudulig was an Abbot. They are connected historically - but they are a different clan - Sir Lachlan Maclean of Duart is their chief. They
