New Clan Livingstone webpage

Just to let everyone know I used the WayBackMachine that andrew broght to our attention. I found Robert Livingston original "THE LIVINGSTONES OF ARGYLL AND THE ISLES" updated as of September 28, 2002. I saved every page they had available, updated the email address to one I created for emails I send out relating to the clan (not v_1dlivi), found some pictures that were no longer linked, and placed a little memorial note at the bottom of each page for Rob. My thoughts are once Niall is fully settled in and can get through the clan email I will adjust the email addres to the enquires -at ClanLivingstone -dot com and have the pages moved over to their rightful place on the clan website, maybe under an Archive folder. Then we can do a Google Search for ""THE LIVINGSTONES OF ARGYLL AND THE ISLES" and contact the websites that link to it and point them to the same pages on the clan website (current 9 hits on Google for it) Right now it can be found on my website under http://www.reclaimed-treasures.com/rlivingston/ There are 28 pages with email addresses to people who were doing research, Rob's ideas, and a lot of good notes from 2002. Everyone can take a look, go through the links, see if I missed any that would go to a broken location, etc. Good Reading!! David

Hi David, Thats great that you located that info of Robert's as he devoted much of his remaining time with us pursuing a love that many of us share and that is researching and learning about our MacLea Livingstone Clan. I have bits and pieces of Rob's research, but you have located a subtantial collection. It was of course Robert's groundbreaking work with the Young Bachuil that has led us to where we are today with the Forum and the DNA Project that Andrew continued in his footsteps. It is interesting to note from the information you located that Rob disputed Carmichael's information on DAvid Livingstone's ancestry as I do and have in past e-mails discussed at length. regards, Donald
