Hello, Interestingly enough history does record one family connection between Highland Clan Donald and the Lowland Livingstones in the 1400's between John McDonald (1434-1503) the last Lord of the Isles and his wife Elizabeth Livingstone daughter of James Livingstone a political figure during the time of James 11 of Scotland. So another marriage connection in the middle ages between the lowland Livingstones and another highland clan is not altogether impossible. regards, Donald

I like the idea of saying that the fact has not been established, but that the two groups considered themselves to be kin... Kyle=

G'day Graham For better looking up of your post in the future, could you re-post this to the ANZAC forum? http://www.clanmclea.co.uk/forum/clanforumANZ.asp We are indeed trying to keep track of how many families there are in Australia. I think that we can proudly say that Australian Livingstones (various spellings) have done pretty well at getting themselves together using modern technology. I think most of the families are for example in the DNA project (is yours?). So now we just have to make sure the rest of the world catches up so we can see who we connect to! We've already learnt many interesting things. Best Regards Andrew Lancaster http://users.skynet.be/lancaster/Living ... Index.html
