In Remembrance of Robert Livingston

Post by D.W.Livingston »

While doing the research I seem to do I came across one thing, that led to another, which led to me finding this thread from one year ago. I wanted to just say on this the Anniversary of Rob's passing that his name and ideas are still quoted and kept out on the web, which in a small way means he is still with us. That being said does anyone have a copy of his "Livingstones of Argyll and the Isles" saved? the website http://pages.sbcglobal.net/rlivingston1488/index.html is down (but without the index.html you can still get to his other files, if needed). I would really like to put up the "Livingstones of Argyll and the Isles" on the clan website and then we can let the web pages that have it linked to his old address link to the correct one to save it for posterity, etc. David

Yes it has been a year since Rob's passing. His presence is greatly missed. I used to have a copy from a couple years back, now doubt as I do remember printing out some or all of his Livingstone history from his site, but I dont know if I can find it in massive Livingstone document collection. I will give it a try. Hopefully Kyle being the scholar that he is will be better organized than me and be able to find a copy for you. Donald

David, I have a paper copy (4pages) of the "Livingstone) of Argyle and the Isles" dated 10/10/1999. I can scan these and send them to you if required. I am currently looking for the electronic copy that they came from. I am reasonably sure I have the article on disc somewhere. Please advise me off line at livingsk@bigpond.net.au Regards Kevin Livingston Tasmania
