Hi Andrew, Well I guess that was the assumption made by Livingstone researchers in the past that we were also connected to that family tree (MS 1450)and descended from that Macdunsliebhe. A number of other Argyll families including the McEwens you mentioned obviously still see this tree as depicting their likely ancestral roots. As you know Niall has over the years developed some doubts about our connection to this old family tree, but to his credit has fairly examined all the arguments on this on going debate so we can make up our own minds. regards Donald

Yes, indeed he has. I'm not sure I can say that the DNA is confirming his theory, but it is certainly lending a tiny little bit of weight to it at least. Regards Andrew
