Hello Kyle, That is an interesting question and this website has a lot of information on that and what it doesn't have directly the members can fill in. First I would check out:
http://www.clanlivingstone.com/Livingstone-MacLea.htm where they go into the history of the McLea and Livingston clan. Also there are two Livingston clans. The Lowland clan that came from Europe in the 1100's and settled in Livingston Scotland, and the Highland clan which originally were the McLea who took to using the Livingston name to travel to the lowlands and then later took it permanently. I was born, and still live, in the United States but my grandfather and father came from Stirling Scotland in the 1940's so I wouldn't be able to answer your question about when the Livingston's came to Canada. What I woudl recommend is in the Forum main page go up to "Search the Postings" and put in Canada, I know recently there have been a few good posts done specifically in regards to the family of David Livingstone the explorer. Good Hunting.

Hi Kyle The short answer is that they arrived many times. As you'll see from recent discussions, we are starting to have news of so many immigrations that we in fact aim to start collecting information about immigrants to New World countries on a "wiki" type webpage which Kyle McLea has offered to set up. How far back have you traced your ancestors? Regards Andrew
