Hi all, In doing some recent searches, I came upon references to Ernie McLea, who played hockey with the Montreal Victorias in the 1890s, and in late 1896: http://www.nhl.com/cup/incidents.html "Ernie McLea scored the winning goal in what was modestly called 'the finest match ever played in Canada.'" Kate McLea was my great-grandmother's name. She lived in Montreal around 1900, with her Mother Rebecca, sister Eva, brother Ralph, and there may have been a brother Charles. I don't know of an Ernie, but I'm looking into it!
