Hi Kyle, Caise Shona Dhuit! I don't know where you find all this interesting stuff about the McLeas and Livingstones. As I said you must have your own private staff of Bute McLeas researching for you. Alas if only Dr. McLea had written his story of the McLeas twenty years later we would probably not be here wondering about the history of the McLea Livingstone name change. Regardless we owe Dr. McLea a debt of gratitude for compiling that MacLea history from accounts that were passed on to him. It truly is a wonderful document. And remember the incident with the MacLea soldier and the Earl of Linlithgo only occurred about 100 years before the history was written down. So it certainly would have been relatively recent history in the minds of those who told Reverend McLea rather than some sort of ancient Scottish tale through the mists of time long ago. regards, Donald

Caise Shona Dhuit, to you too, Donald! Indeed, I could say the same for all the research you've done!
