Thank you everyone who helped with this FIRST STEP in getting a searchable database. I am now compiling all the names I recieved today (a little over 3,600 names).. when I finish this I'll give a full count of how many names, etc. are currently in there. My next step would be to do the same thing we did for births in the "marriages and banns" section. For everyone that would like to help which ScotlandsPeople is giving away credits let me know how you would like to proceed.

http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/searc ... index.aspx and log in to ScotlandsPeople In Surname: Livingston* (don't forget the asterick) Keep everything else blank and move down to the dates section. Keep the date from as the following date that you see in the "I'll take...." message (so if someone writes "I'll take from 01 Jan 1553 through 28 Feb 1734".. then you would start the next date at 01 Mar 1734 and go until you have 500 matches/20 pages) Thank You. BTW, noticed LIVINGSTONNE as an alternate spelling in a few records 1600-1700. I'll get the next 20 pages in a moment, and will post what I get. K=

I went and got all the McLea/MacLea/MacOnlea/McLay marriages until 1854 Broken down they are: McLea: 276 listed. First 16 Oct 1689 in Thurso Caithness; Last in 14 Oct 1854 MacLea: 50 Listed. First 21 Aug 1694 in Kirkintilloch Dunbarton; Last in
