David Livingstone book recommendations

I've been considering ordering a few titles from Amazon.com to do some summer reading about our illustrious ancestor. Can anyone give me a recommendation/review about any of these titles? The Life and African Exploration of David Livingstone (author anonymous with excerpts from Livingstone's journals included); Missionary Travels in South Africa (vol.1 only, by Livingstone himself); the third title is, David Livingstone, The Truth Behind the Legend by Rob Mackenzie. I naturally assume that Livingstone's books are worthwhile but I'm wondering if they could be, in essence, the same book since they are from different publishers.
