It would definitely be a good thing to have someone from Australia or New Zealand who would be a good contact person for interested travelers from there as well, so if anyone has an inkling to be a liaison or to help set up arrangements for your countries--that could be useful for your fellow-travelers as well, even if you don't want to help develop the plans for the event.
