RIP Sibyl, Lady Stewart of Appin

I have just heard of the passing of Lady Stewart of Appin, widow of Sir Dugald Stewart, 16th of Appin and mother of the current chief Andrew Stewart, 17th of Appin. My mother is attending the funeral which takes place today in Appin.

This is so sad and a untimely death of such a friend and strong voice for the people of Appin. May we remember and reflect upon the things she and her husband did for Appin and strive to live by her example. All connected to ancient clan McLea/Mconlea of Appin feel her passing as if she were family and wish to extend our condolences at this time to our old breathren the Stewarts of Appin.
