Hi All, Not entirely surprised by the response to Jill's letter. In light of the current protest regarding the Appin Regiment Marker at the Culloden Battlefield, some of you who have not seen this article regarding a dispute that flared up regarding the National Trust for Scotland and the Bannockburn Battlefield may find it interesting. Be sure to check out some of the responses from readers regarding the sensitive approach of the NTS to Scottish history at Bannockburn. One reader commented how the NTS had "long abused their position" and were "sanitizing Scottish history". http://news.scotsman.com/scotland.cfm?id=989442007 Donald

Clearly the NTS has 'sensitivity' in their management of all Scottish sites!
