Hi Roberta, According to the Boularderie Livingstones, their ancestor Angus a former napoleonic soldier arrived in Nova Scotia with two brothers Malcolm and George. It was Malcolm that settled at Cape George. The census records so far seem to indicate that a Presbyterian family of Livingstones did settle there and this Cape Breton Livingstone family was Presbyterian. There is a site online on the Boularderie Livingstones. I am hoping to locate other census records for Cape Breton. regards, Donald

HI Andrew, The 1840 or 1850 Census for Mull, Scotland is probably the first for Mull that lists householders by religion. I have the 1779 census. I dont think it lists the religion but I will check that out.

Apparently Catholic and Dissenting records are noticeably underrepresented in the ScotlandsPeople/LDS databases.

Hi Donald, I think the confusion arrises through the fact that Daniel David was always called D.D. he was born in 1835.
