A settlement north of Antigonish and a cove on the Northumberland Strait. Named for Malcolm Livingstone, a native of Argyllshire, Scotland:

Hi Roberta, Yes Malcolm was one of the first of the Highland Livingstones to settle in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Angus Livingston b.1773 pioneer settler at Boularderie Island in Cape Breton, a Napoleonic War soldier who arrived in 1816 is said to have been Malcolm's brother. There is supposed to have been another brother George, but I have no found any genealogical info on his him or his family. Some state that he settled around Low Point but that places in the location of pioneers John Livingston and Christy McPhee and I am have not been able to prove that he was there with them. regards, Donald
