Hello from Ontario, Canada,
While researching my family tree, I have found that I have Livingstone ancestors on both my Dad's father's side and his mother's side...and there are many other Livingstone relationships throughout the my tree with cousins. On my Dad's father's side are Mary Livingston and Duncan McCorquodale from Duror, Scotland. On my Dad's mother's side are Mary Ellen Livingston and Septimus Henry Clarke from Simcoe, Ontario, Canada. It looks like Mary Ellen's family is from Islay, Scotland.
I am interested learning more about these families & ancestors and am trying to verify the relationships in my tree. I look forward to connecting and and mutually sharing information and ideas. Thank you for accepting me to the forum!
Sharon

Hi Sharon,

Welcome to the Clan Maclea Livingstone Forum. This is a forum for Livingstone/Livingston related genealogy inquiries so you have arrived at the right place. I started up two postings in our ancestral search section one regarding your ancestors Mary Livington and Duncan McCorquodale of Cuil and later Achara, Duror Parish and Dougald Livingston b. abt. 1816 ? thought to be a son of Simcoe County, Upper Canada, pioneer settler Neil Livingston and Flora Gilchrist of Islay, Argyll just some very basic info just to get things started and so that Livingstons out there related to you might see that inquiries are being made regarding your Livingston ancestor in our ancestry search section. I would recommend that you post your research info and any Livingston family related questions you might have in the ancestral search section of the Clan Maclea Livingstone Forum which you access through the above mentioned Board Index where other Livingston family researchers visiting the ancestral search may see them.
