200th Anniversary of Dr. Livingstone's Birth

Missionary and Explorer, Dr. David Livingstone was born in Blantyre, Lanarkshire on March 19, 1813. In honour of the 200th Anniversary of Dr. Livingstone's Birth, the National Trust of Scotland has organised a wreath laying ceremony at Westminister Abbey in London where the Doctor's remains brought back from Africa were buried in 1874. The event takes place on March 19th 2013 1800 hours by invitation only. THere are however a number of events and exibits happening in March in Blantyre, Edinburgh and Glasgow Scotland focusing on Dr. David Livingstone and his legacy open to the general public.
