Appin and Lismore Livingstones in North Carolina

Hi all,
The late Rob Livingstone commented in August 2000 that highland Argyll Livingstones left from Lismore in 1775 to North Carolina then with the revolutionary war there was a break, then another group in 1789 and 1790. I suspect this may have included Livingstones from both Appin and Lismore. Rob was responding to inquires regarding the town of Livingston Quarters, North Carolina. There were likely McColls and Carmichaels on these ships as well. Descendants of these families likely can be found in both North and South Carolina I suspect.
