The last time ScotlandsPeople gave out free credits we built the excel spreadsheet for the members. Since it has been such a long time I would like to add to it but was wondering if the heavy researchers have areas that I should focus on?

ie. If you had 300 credits would you focus on MacLea \Livingston(e) births\death\marriages that have been added since the last time as we did or go more into wills and...

I would like to add to the database for all members. :)
Thank you all.

Hi David, my preference would be to extend the (index) database forward as far as we can. But I am open to whatever other folks think too!

Hi David and Kyle,

What Parishes, Counties and years have you completed so far in your Spreadsheet?

Hi All,

I see on the Scotland's People website that this offer applies only to people from Canada, US, Australia and New Zealand. Those of us who live in the UK, and/or those of us who are already users of the Scotland's People website are not eligible to apply for extra credits.

Regards,

Jill

Absolutely, Jill! Good points--they are clearly trying to attract new members from overseas!

Hi Donald,
I believe we have the Births and Marriages from all Parish\Counties going from 11 Oct 1599 through 31 Dec 1906. Totaling 23,961 entries.
We don't have any of the death records yet.

Thank you,

But note that it is new people they are trying to attract - we cannot use these credits if we already have a Scotlandspeople account. There will be a few of us, no doubt, signing up for new SP accounts, but that will spread where we keep the certificates too.

Okay, I have some death certificates, and possibly some births and marriages after your 1906 dates. Who can I send the information from and/or copies of the certificates to - that will save some money for the Clan.
