William Burke jr. age 13 one of the sons of Cathrine's daughter Sarah Burke who settled in Ny or Ohio. According to an article written by Catharine Livingston's grandson lawyer Duncan Livingston son of her son Angus Livingston of Scioto County, Catharine and his brother Duncan one other brother John left Scotland and joined Angus in 1845.

So Catharine Livingston of Achabegg, Morvern and some of her sons ended up in Scioto, Ohio Angus her son settled at Scioto, Ohio and his son Duncan was born there in 1850. He became a lawyer and later a Livingston family historian and learned from his old Morvern relatives that settled in America in the 1840's that his family was descended from Hugh Livingston a brother of Donald Livingston 1728-1816 of Savary, Morvern. Donald's brother Hugh (Ewen) Livingston lived beside old Donald in Savary. The Achbegg 1841 Census shows that both Hugh son of Archibald Livingston of AUlestin and the Livingston family that settled in Scioto, Ohio in the 1840's were likely neighbours at Achbegg and is significant that both some of the family of Catharine Livingston of Achbeg settled at Scioto County, Ohio and that Hugh Livingston's widow Effy Campbell Livingston and her children settled in neighbouring Lawrence County, Ohio likely no coincidence. No proof if or how they are related but there is good chance that Effy's husband the late Hugh Livingston of Achbeg was related to Catharine Livingston's late husband connect to the old Savary Livingstons. This is not all surprising to me because my research has been suggesting that many of these 18th century Livingston families that lived in several settlements along the west coast of Movern seem to at least in many cases to be probably sharing a common ancestry. So far only three Livingstons of Morvern family origin tested in our DNA project but the results suggest that they are closely related.

regards,

Donald
