Hi All,
Recently the Forum was visited by a descendant of John Livingston b. abt. 1775? of Nine Mile Creek, Lot 65, Queens County, Prince Edward Island, Canada and his wife Isabella Mcgregor. John was a son of pioneer Nine Mile Creek, Queens County, PEI, Argyll, Scotland settler Donald Livingstone Sr. b.1750 who with his wife Mary, his sons and one daughter arrived in PEI in 1806.
Prior to this back in 2010 I was in touch with a descendant of Donald Livingston Jr. b. abt. 1780 probably in Morvern, Argyll according to his marriage record, the son of Donald Livingston Sr. 1750-1840? a native of Morvern, Argyllshire who in 1806 at the time residing in Mull with all of his sons and a daughter while residing in Mull, Argyll came to Prince Edward Island, Canada aboard the vessel the Rambler from the Port of Tobermory, Mull. The elder Donald Livingston and family settled firstly at Nine Mile Creek Lot 65 in Queens County. Land records show that Donald Livingston Sr. leased 100 acres at Nine Mile Creek. In the years following that his son Duncan, John, and Alexander lived in that Nine Mile Creek area within in the first half of the 1800's. Son Donald Livingston Jr. in 1807 relocated to Lot 31, Queens County at Clyde River. It was the descendant of Donald Livingstone Jr. who introduced me to this Donald Livingstone Sr. early pioneer Argyllshire Livingston settler who settled in Prince Edward Island at Nine Mile Creek at Lot 65, Queens County and the detailed family research of John Collins who has done extensive research into the family and some subsequent descendants of Donald Livingston Sr. of Nine Mile Creek. It should be noted that Nine Mile Creek Lot 65 where Donald Livingston Sr. located in 1806 was not on land acquired by Lord Selkirk of Scotland and the vessel Rambler did not bring with it Selkirk Settlers to PEI. They arrived a few years earlier in 1803 as part of Lord Selkirk's settlement scheme in Prince Edward Island. Donald Livington Sr's son Donald Livingston Jr. however shortly after arriving at Nine Mile Creek Lot 65 did relocate by 1807 on land located at Lot 31 at Clyde River nearby in Queens County which was in fact on land which Lord Selkirk had acquired though Donald Livingston Jr. was not one of original Selkirk settlers of 1803 it should be noted.

Here is summary of what is known regarding the original Donald Livington Sr. of Nine Mile Creek, Lot 65, Queen County, Prince Edward Island, Canada and his family based on the John Collin's Nine Mile Creek original Livingston family info he had researched.
