Hi All,

Continuing with a revival of research regarding Donald Livingston Jr. son of Donald Livingston Sr. b.1750 of earlier Livingston family that first settled at Nine Mile Creek Lot 65, Queens County, PEI. Donald Livingston Jr. b. abt. 1780 his son married Flora McPhail in 1803 in Kilninian Parish, Mull, Argyll but this marriage entry indicates that Donald Livingston Jr. was of Morvern Parish origin. Donald and his wife Flora travelled to PEI aboard the Rambler from the port of Tobermory, Mull, Argyllshire with his brothers and a sister and parents Donald Livington Sr. and Mary in 1806 where the family firstly settled around Nine Mile Creek, Lot 65, Queens County. Donald Livington Jr. by 1807 however had located on Lot 31at Dog (Clyde) River also IN Queens County one of the lots acquired by Lord Selkirk earlier in the 1800's for his own settlement ambitions in PEI. It is important to note that although Donald jr. located on his Selkirk lot, Donald and the other Livingstons who settled in PEI in 1806 were not PEI Selkirk settlers nor part of the earlier settlement group that Selkirk brought over to PEI earlier in the year 1803.

Based on ground breaking PEI Livingston Nine Mile Creek Livingstons and related kin research info of John Collins a descendant of Donald Livingston Sr, here is a list of the known children of Donald Livingston Jr. and his wife Flora McPhail. It appears that all their children were born in PEI, the first apparently shortly after the Donald and Flora and the rest of the Livingstons arrived in 1806.
PEI Census and other records are not as extensive as I would like, so there is as I result much family information that is regrettably difficult to locate, but I am making an ongoing effort to find out what I can regarding one of the earliest highland Argyllshire Livingston family group to settle in Prince Edward Island, Canada in the year 1806.
