Looks like I was the one who slipped-up, all right. I believe that Patrick Livingston's Mother's name was Christine Robertson, father Patrick Livingston b. 1730. Thank you, Andrew, for pointing that out to me. I hope I won't make more mistakes with these lists. I will remove the reference. Patrick b. 1750 was married to Margaret Bowie and I hope that his family, moving forward; from 1750, was of some help to you.
Now I am doubting myself about Christine Robertson. Oh well; with your help we will sort this-out.

I am still a bit unsure. As shown by the register entries I mentioned, there is a Patrick Livingstone b. abt 1750 in Perthshire whose parents names were Patrick Livingstone (or Lovage) and Margaret Bowie (or Buie). This was the Patrick you were suggesting moved to America I think? Could you have the mothers/wives around the wrong way between the generations?

You're correct, John b. 1757 and Patrick b. 1750 were the sons of Patrick Livingstone and Margaret Bowie. Then I didn't find Patricks wife, after all. I shall correct all of the references to Margaret Bowie being the wife of Patrick Livingstone b. 1750, Saint Ninians, Scotland. Thank you, Andrew for pointing-out my careless mistake.

No problem Roberta, and thanks for the work you are doing.

In terms of finding the Livages in Scotland (I think they only appear in Perthshire and Angus) you can normally find them with searches such as L*v*ge, L*v*ch and L*v*sh. This will also pick up the Levachs in Caithness (but if you want all of them you need to search for L*v*ck also). Another approach is simply L*v*, but then you will get names like Levy and Love.

The Levachs have a family idea of being related to the MacLeas although I don't know how strong it is and we do not have much DNA evidence to work on, and the Livages certainly swapped constantly with spellings like Livingston, Leviston, etc and have a strong McClay, Maclay, McLay DNA match also (the so-called MacWho DNA lineage)
