Pikes Peak Celitc Festival

Post by Greg Livingston »

For those of you in the Colorado area, please stop by Memorial Park in Colorado Springs the weekend of 20 - 22 June for the Pikes Peak Celtic Festival. This is a revived festival that is in it's second year and growing quickly. Beautiful park with great views of Pikes Peak. Stop by the tent, I look forward to seeing some of you there.

Did you go last year, Greg?

I loved Pike's Peak and found the surrounding area beautiful and think this would have been a fantastic Games. Enjoy it, Greg!

No I didn't. Kenneth Boggs was there and filled me in on the size etc. Last year was their new start up after about 6 or 8 years. This year they are already larger than Edgewater which is in its 4th year.

Must be a nice place/setup if they've grown so fast! (Or cheap, that helps with Scots too. ;) )

Well, not so cheap but it was great! The view from Memorial Park is excellent. Albannoch was excellent. Over all the venue and weekend went very well as far as I'm concerned. I do believe that there are things that need to be negotiated with the city to make things work better but those are mostly administrative. We will be back to this one.
