That is an excellent likeness of the man.
I will have to relocate the photo of John Livingstone tomorrow and send it to you. I have always believed that David's Uncle and his brother John Livingston were named after his great grandfather who died at Culloden according to Dr. Livingston. While Dr. Livingston never mentioned the name of his great-grandfather I believe it was also John Livingston although I will never be able to prove it. My best guess however that is was a John Livingston from Ballachulish that served in the Appin Regiment along with others from the Appin/Ballachulish and Lismore area recruited to serve with the local Stewarts of Appin around 1745 in the Appin Regiment.
