When I go into the Gallery and choose "upload pictures" I choose the 5 I wanted to add to the Gathering gallery and then I hit continue and I get the error message:
Destination directory albums/userpics/10054/ is not writable by the script !
I try to put in any gallery and get roughly the same.
Can we put the steps in the "Forum Guide" section to let all members know the correct way to upload pictures and/or creating galleries, etc.
Thank you and I hope to add the pictures Jill sent me as well as any I find on the Internet of the Gathering.

Hey Donald,
Check the photo gallery. I posted those documents there. We should have a seperate category for documents.

Re: Uploading pictures
Hello Barry,
Can you try and upload any document to any folder? I was specifically trying to upload pictures to the Gathering album as well as a personal album, which coppermine allowed me to make but not add pictures to. I have since tried to add the pictures through File Upload as well as URI/URL upload... same error.
http://documentation.coppermine-gallery ... ooting.htm
If anyone else wants to try.. or wants to see the pictures I have to post thanks to Jill (with her explanation of each) you can pull them down from these URL's
http://www.reclaimed-treasures.com/clan ... 09_009.jpg Group comprising Catriona, Niall, Flora and Tommy
Livingstone, the two older women are, I think, relatives of Tommy's
http://www.reclaimed-treasures.com/clan ... 09_013.jpg Niall Bachuil talking to his daughter Catriona
http://www.reclaimed-treasures.com/clan ... 09_014.jpg Deidre and her husband talking to an unknown
http://www.reclaimed-treasures.com/clan ... 09_016.jpg The Clan Tents
http://www.reclaimed-treasures.com/clan ... 09_020.jpg The massed Pipes & Drums
http://www.reclaimed-treasures.com/clan ... 09_022.jpg The Atholl Highlanders
http://www.reclaimed-treasures.com/clan ... 09_028.jpg The Crowds at The Gathering
Looking online for Gathering pictures I stumbled across this picture of the Friends of Appin Society at Bachuil. I thought it would look nice in the Ancestry album.

So I have done some searching and found many webhosting sites talking about the issue. Like:Destination directory albums/userpics/XXXXX/ is not writable by the script
http://documentation.coppermine-gallery ... ooting.htm
from what Niall has said he has already adjusted the file/folder permissions so it could possibly be my system. I've tried in both Firefox and Internet Explorer.Destination directory albums/userpics/XXXXX/ is not writable by the script
permissions on file system level are not correct
Make sure to review your file/folder permissions(http://documentation.coppermine-gallery ... ermissions). If that doesn't help, ask your webhost for support.

I think I have found the problem and believe that you should now be able to upload pictures.
