Request for DNA assistance

Post by jmlivingstone »

Remko Mikkenie has a request for assistance with DNA results in the members DNA section of the forum, for approximately five weeks, so far no one has responded, it does not appear to be the way to welcome a newcomer to the forum.

Hi John,

I suspect no one has responded to his inquiries, as yet, simply because we don't have anyone involved or visiting the forum at this moment in time who has the specialized knowledge, expertise and insight and experience regarding the Macleays of Ross and Cromarty in particular familiarity with the DNA and the rather complex SNP aspects of the Macleays of Ross and Cromarty who is able to provide the very specific information that Remko ultimately is seeking. That would be my best guess for what it is worth. I am however seeing if there anyone who can possibly provide some assistance to Remko regarding his inquiries of June of 2017. I would also be greatly interested in knowing how many descendants of the Ross and Cromarty Macleays have done the familytreedna test and I think we would all be interested in learning of Macleay family origins. I know that a number Macleays or Maclays have done the DNA test.
regards,

Donald
