Livingstons in Argentina

Hi. I´m Roberto Livingston, the 5th generation of Livingstons born in Argentina. There is already a 6th generation. I have plenty of info about our family here. We only have one ancestor in common: William Livingston (1811 - 1883). He was established in Buenos Aires in 1830 aprox. I would like to learn more about our family. We descend from the Viscount of Killsyth, and believe my father is suposed to be carrying that title, which of course, no longer exists. "The Livingstones ( the `e` was used at this time by this branch) of Kilsyth, that had a common ancestor in Sir William Livingston, Lord of Callendar who was slain at the Battle of Homildon Hill in 1402, were granted the Viscountship of Kilsyth in 1661. Roberto, Have you considered being a part of the Livingston/MacLea DNA Project? There are many reasons to get involved. One is to see where other branches of your family might have settled. And another is to see if there isn't a connection between the Lowland Livingston of Killsyth and the Highlanders of Argyll. By the way, do you happen to know why your ancestors chose to migrate to Argentina? Rob

Roberto, Rob's idea is first class. THe DNA sample collection is a very simple and painless procedure, basically taking a swap from the inside of your mouth. You do this yourself.
