Rothesay and was christened May 9,1790 in Rothesay. John died beore 1851. He married Janet(Jessie) McKay Nov. 27, 1818 in Glasgow. Janet was born Aug. 27, 1795 in Rothesay and was christened Aug. 31 1795 in Rothesay. Janet died March 24, 1870 in Huthesontown, Glasgow.

Hey, Roberta! I've seen that family before.

Subsequent to this information, I now know that John died well before 1851. He died before the 1841 census for sure. However, he may have died well before that. His last entry in the Glasgow Post Office directories is 1833. So, his death was likely 1833-1841, but I suspect closer to 1833.

If anyone should be interested in this family, I have a LOT more information about them!
