Just over 2 more weeks and at least my first event of the year is the Newport Celtic Festival and Highland Games, held in beautiful oceanside Newport, Oregon the weekend of June 8th thru June 10.
This is a very new festival and is only their 2nd annual. The music group Brother is expected to perform again this year. There are an estimated 18-20 clans expected to be present. The main events are on Saturday and Sunday but on Friday night there are a couple of other events such as a bonfire on the beach and a sandcastle contest I believe
