Australian and New Zealand Forum

Post by Bachuil »

After many promptings I have finally managed to create a forum specifically for our Australian and New Zealand Members which can be accessed http://www.clanmclea.co.uk/forum/clanforumANZ.asp or by the expanded forum menu. Everyone can post here - but messages should be restricted to matters of restricted interest to our Australian and New Zealand Members. Regards

Australian and New Zealand Forum

Hi all, The establishment of an AUstrailian and New Zealand forum by Niall can only be described as wonderful news. I think it provides a balance in terms of meeting the specific communication needs of Livingstones from these two nations and also promotes clan unity with this website which I have personally supported for a very long time now. regards Donald (Livingstone) Clink

US or Canada Forum

Post by Bachuil »

Thanks Donald, Do you think there is a demand for a US and Canada forum yet? I think we are very nearly at a stage where we have enough people in North America to form two societies. Any volunteers for officers? Finally I had an email from a Kyle Livingston whose family came from Ontario. I found the first name interesting ..... Regards Niall

US or Canada Forum

Post by Canadian Livingstone »

Hi Niall, I think that the existing forum with input largely from Americans and some Canadians has worked well. As some of these AMerican Livingstone kin had roots in Canada as well as SCotland we share some of the same history. To be honest there has been good response to the forum in recent months and perhaps breaking it up into a separate U.S and Canadian forum might not be the best idea. At times howeever I was frustrated that Kyle MacLea and I were with the exception of yourself the only ones coming to the site.In dealing with the above mentioned problem I have consulted with my American colleague Kyle MacLea on the possibility of some of the Livingstone connected forums somehow joining yours in the future, but it was pointed out to me that isnt likely to happen for a number of reasons. If there was some sort of "politics" going on within the clan

US or Canada Forum

Post by D.W.Livingston »

Hello Everyone, I would also like to volunteer in any capacity for the clan. I would like to know what a regional forum can provide, besides limiting the main forum from getting a lot of threads that doesn't apply to anyone outside of Canada/U.S. I would also like to hear from the ANZ group on their creation and charter. I have been reviewing the few threads they have. What would the expectation of members be? of officers be? I believe it is time to organize the clan further, but unsure how to go about it. Thank You. Dear Donald, My own preference would be keep the forum the way it is for now, and not split off a separate US/Canada forum.
