Kyle, When all is said about the gaelic correctness or lack of it of Town of Livingston as Baile Dhun Liebe and it appears from the 1743 MacLea manuscript that the Earl of Linlithgo might of thought that Dhunliebhe, Dunlevy etc. and Levingstoun were essentially one and the same. And years later Baron Duncan Maconlea, in the 1750's, while considering an appropriate name change for his clan may well have reached the same conclusion regarding Dhunliebhe and Livingston.
