I found the marriage record for Mary Julia Livingstone to James Woodland. The parents of Mary were Angus Livingstone and Sarah Huestis of Wallace River, Nova Scotia.

More info on Mary and James. They were living on PEI, Queens County, in 1881 census period. They had a two year old son Arthur, who was born on PEI. He was a clergy man. It says that both James and Mary Julia were born in Nova Scotia. Interesting that they would be in an area where there are other Livingstones. I wonder if there is a connection? They were in lot 23 at the time of the census.

I would like to do research on this Angus Livingston. Could you let me know his age? I found 1810 for his birth year. Can you confirm this? I found Sarah b.c. 1823.

Sorry but so far I have found no more information about them. I was at the archives today and I checked the index cards for Woodland and all there was is the reference in the 1881 census. Someone in Nova Scotia may be able to did up more information than me if they have access to the Provincial archives in NS. I will keep looking.

Thank you for looking Barry. James Woodland age 25 son of Richard Woodland and Ann Col...married Mary Julia Livingston daughter of Angus Livingston and Sarah Heustis Dec. 28, 1865. Witness. Archibald Livingston.

Sarah died Nova Scotia age 89. Will continue tomorrow.

I found some more info

Julia had 4 children and 3 of those children died at a young age.

Angus had a son Joshua H. Livingstone
Married Frances Augusta Purdy
They had one son named Elma Sheridan .

The remaining children of Angus were Arthur, Alice and Murray and none were married in 1895.

Sarah married Angus LIVINGSTONE in 1845 in , Cumberland, Nova Scotia, Canada. Angus was born on 20 Nov 1810 in Tobermary, , , Scotland. He died on 25 Jun 1891. He was buried in Wentworth, Cumberland, Nova Scotia, Canada.

They had the following children.

+ 2391 F i Mary Julia "Julia" LIVINGSTONE was born about 1845. She died in Date Unknown.
+ 2392 M ii Joshua Huestis LIVINGSTONE was born on 17 Feb 1847. He died in Date Unknown.
2393 M iii Arthur LIVINGSTONE was born about 1856 in Wentworth, Cumberland, Nova Scotia, Canada. He died in Date Unknown.
+ 2394 F iv Alice E. LIVINGSTONE was born on 13 May 1861. She died in Date Unknown.
2395 M v Murray LIVINGSTONE was born on 17 Apr 1863 in Wentworth, Cumberland, Nova Scotia, Canada. He died on 29 Mar 1894. He was buried in Wentworth, Cumberland, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Hi Roberta and Barry,

Another Livingston from Mull. Tobermory of course was also the port at Mull from which the Mull and Morvern Livingston folk boarded the ships for Nova Scotia and PEI. They would sadly watch Tobermory and the coastline of Scotland fade away from view until till I all they were left with was a memory.
